Motivated Haunting

I love it when I'm told I can't do something. It just makes me want to do it more, to prove them wrong.

Blue: You can't do anything. 'See? Now I've got to succeed and prove you wrong.'

Green: Is that your whole motivation? So if someone believed in you and wanted you to succeed, this would hinder rather than encourage you? 'Ummm...'

Blue: Shall we assume no one in your life believes in you and wants you to succeed? 'Uhhh...'

Green: Or perhaps some do, but despite this, or because of this, you ignore them and respond only to emotional abuse.

'Hmmm, I don't know. I'll have to figure this out...' Blue: You can do it!
