I say that relationships suck because all they do is hurt people, and some jackass might say, “As Shakespeare said, ‘Better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.’” Or if I mention I’m not sure where I’m going in life, I could very well have some clown spout, “As Forrest Gump said, ‘Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get.’” Maybe even I’d bitch that somebody did something totally retarded, and sure enough I get, “As Voltaire said, ‘Common sense isn’t all that common.’”

Here’s To You!

So I raise my glass and say, “Here’s to you, tuna!”

For you see, tuna is some of the greatest food in the world. Some people think steak is so wonderful. Meh. Others have certain partiality to pork. Well, whatever. But what’s truly wonderful is tuna.

Put it in a casserole! Eat it out of the can! Make it into a salad. Have it in a sub. Slap a slab of it on the grill. Leave it raw and gulp down its divinity, for it is King of Sushi. Or at least I say it is. That’s all that matters.

Tuna is great. Tuna is delicious. Tuna is godly. Let’s all eat some tuna!

Oh, and anyone who doesn’t like tuna or any seafood can, of course, go screw themselves.

For the first couple of months or so, the single most common search phrase to hit here was “MySpace is stupid”. Hehehe. This month so far, it has fallen to third, behind second place search phrase “Samurai Sudoku”. Obviously, those both hit previous entries MySpace Is Stupid, But Give It a Break and Samurai Sudoku, respectively. Not sure how helpful I was to either of those, whatever “MySpace is stupid” is trying to find anyway. Although I suppose my message in that entry is one I rather like people seeing and thinking about. Isn’t that why anyone writes anything?

So I was on my way home from work today. I got on the bus and set my jacket and bag down on a seat while reaching into my pocket to get some change to pay the fare. While getting the necessary dollar and quarter, I look at the seat next to my bag, and what should I see, but a bus transfer. For today. Good until 8pm. If I just took it, and pretended I had just pulled it out of my bag or something, I wouldn’t have to pay and would get a free ride!

That’s right. On this Palm Sunday, the Fortress has opened up yet another wing for the enjoyment of, well, whoever is just that bored. I have called it Lore Galore!. This fifth open section right now has only one thing: The Story of Easter, originally told last year on the NYRA forums and now reproduced here. Wondering what we’ll be celebrating next Sunday? Go read. Now!

There’s also a Story of Christmas that I wrote a few months ago as well. When will it be up? Christmastime, duh! So wait another seven or eight months. Or just go find where I originally posted it on the NYRA forums. Whatever.

As time goes by, old entries fall out of date. They fall out of the main page and wind up stuck in some archives. They’re still there for you folks to enjoy, and comments are still open for old posts. Why not? I’ll see new comments no matter how old the original entry might be. Some stuff is so good it outlasts time and deserves some comments later on. Trouble is, no one would really see it. Shame. Could get some good comments, even if from someone who doesn’t entirely agree. Like this one! From a guy named Dean, responding to my old Teen Driving Fallacies entry from January. I think Dean merits not only a rather nice response but a separate new entry for it even. Enjoy!

I’m probably grossly taking this guy’s comment the wrong way, but either way, I’m tired, so it got me going. On a message board I frequent, this guy talked about stuff that annoys him at the movie theatre. Light hearted enough, as his posts usually are. Among his complaints, however, was a remark about how parents let their kids run wild in public and don’t discipline them for it or, get this, how they mistakenly believe this “psychobabble” that children have as many rights as anyone else. That was all I needed to hear.
