Simpsons Nouveaux

And now, for a cruel yet crunchily satisfying bout of…

YOU SUCK!!!!

So, looking at the title of this post, what do you think I’m giving this YOU SUCK message to now? Recent Simpsons episodes? Am I going to piss and moan that tonight’s episode got little more than a chuckle out of me and that I wish the show was more like it was in its 5th season? WRONG!!! That’s wrong, dumbass. In fact, the ones receiving this special YOU SUCK award are the very people who do bitch about newer Simpsons episodes constantly. So, all of you, please, shut the hell up!

In its 17th season, is the show different from how it was over a decade ago? Of course. Changes in writers and times tend to do that, and newer material is mandatory for a show to keep itself running strong. Am I complaining that it’s different? There have been times that I did, but, to be honest, there’s no point. I don’t want the show to end *cringes at thought*. Also, I’ve noticed some episodes that don’t exactly wow me the first time they’re run kind of grow on me after a while.

So I’m sick of you mindless bastards constantly bitching about “oh no, has the Simpsons run out of gas?” You know, you said that eight fucking years ago, yet those episodes you now consider great. And they are great. Hell, the only episodes I find all that annoying are the 1st season ones. Couldn’t stand Homer back then, when Dan Castellaneta was trying to ape Walter Matthau. Heh. Sure glad he stopped doing that.

Anyway, I just watched three episodes tonight that are new this season, the last of which was brand new tonight. And you know what? I thought they were pretty damn good. In the first, there was a graveyard built behind the Simpsons’ home (they always have so much varying crap behind their house!), and Lisa was terrified of it every night, seeing it out her window. Then she got trapped in the graveyard one night and went nuts but came out of it less scared than before. Something like that. Either way, it was still funny, what with the Stamp Museum and Chief Wiggum stuff. After it was one when Marge was desperate for friends and Lisa was learning Italian from Milhouse. Also funny, what with the Milhouse and Mr. Burns and other stuff. It was good. And the new one, Grampa may or may not be Homer’s real father. It was cute, too. I liked the toll booth thing, hehehe.

Either way, I don’t know what the hell you’re all complaining about. The show’s still great and, frankly, still the best show on TV. Although, given the crap that’s on network TV these days, that’s not really saying much. Hehehe.

These three episodes were good. The Sideshow Bob one was good. The Christmas one was really good. The Treehouse of Horror XVI wasn’t bad. I haven’t seen all the ones this season just yet, but they’re not bad. Sure, they’re not 6th season good, but have you ever stopped to think that’s not such a bad thing? Idiot.

Quit bitching about newer episodes of the Simpsons! I’m getting tired of hearing about it. You’re just bitching for the sake of it, and you sound like a bunch of damn old people saying “I wish it was still the good old days!” Fuck you. Simpsons rule. Always have. Always will.

I end with a rather memorable quote from tonight’s new episode.

Marge: “Lisa, that letter isn’t age appropriate. Why can’t our government edit our mail like all the other countries?”

Hehehe. Bite your tongue, Marge!

  2. It *is* going downhill though. Yes, it is different, but in a crappy, repetitive way.
